i only have ONE complaint and it's that they should've given ricky that 2nd gyuvin bit in good so bad like ok they can give him the rap but when he came back for more with the vocals like 10 seconds later i was like ???????
I was confused too 😭😭😭
even the haobin rap parts could have been given to ricky like damn they already got everything else let ricky have that one little thing
That ain't happening
damn yall want kenzie music but get mad when she does what she usually does 😅 ngl the moment we saw her in the credits we should have expected a pretty skewed distribution already
yea I knew that was happening but that doesn't stop anything plus the fact that wakeone has involvement in most of their production we can't say for sure idk
I get that Kenzie is a seasoned producer and many of her productions have a skew going on, but i dont understand this wave of people assuming that producers all have final say in line distributions in most if not all scenarios. That's literally just an assumption extrapolated from idek a few instances where that was more or less confirmed to be the case? But just bc it's sometimes true doesnt mean it's always true. I think people just run with this idea when it's convenient for them and bc it sounds logical if you turn off your brain and willingly forget that basically nothing in kpop is purely meritocratic. Plus the whole logic of the lines always going to who sounds the best doing them is also just bs, especially in songs where their tones are flattened in production to the point you can't recognize who's singing. Like every song's gonna have filler lines that literally anyone who isnt mute can sound 'good' on, yet somehow even those end up going to the same people. And well there's no point going line by line saying who would sound better or worse since it's subjective but producers or management definitely make some bad judgement calls and have biases unrelated to some mystical objectivity on what sounds good (not even singling out zb1 here, i have this thought listening to many groups).
I agree like everyone's just using this story to justify or make sense of the distribution when for sure wakeone still has the final say like we can't just end it at this when we discuss it doesn't stick
Am I the only one fully satisfied by this song like I didn't even look at line distribution and I'm actually Ricky biased? Tbf I usually Stan for the music but I didn't for zb1 obviously so I usually care but I thought this album was good so I didn't care
yea same I'm not rlly noticing the line distribution
(anon who wrote the long ass paragraphs above here) i'm not actually too bothered by the line distribution itself either, i just have beef with fans who routinely try to shut down line distro discussions when it's narratively convenient to their biases under the pretense of fairness or objectivity or being in the know of who is 'deserving' when lbr whoever ended up with those lines would be defended as 'deserving' no matter what. It's just a silly tired argument that only further stokes people's nerves and often implies that those with fewer lines are less deserving (tbf sometimes thats the case with the less talented ones or more vocally niche idols, but thats why blanket arguments shouldnt be applied to all idols and scenarios). Anyway GSB sounds good as-is and the only real critique i have personally is i think it couldve used a final chorus refrain or outro of some kind, maybe with some adlibs from members who were confined to the first half of the song (gunwook, ricky). Just wanted to clarify ✌️
wow loved this and I agree as well! I would definitely have more to say but it's late but I fw what u said
