IIRC Chanel did a big para on this a while back but it’s true Gucci has a line that is still expensive but more accessible to the everyday consumer and its stuff that has the big branding and labels smacked on it to the point it looks tacky. But their higher clientele isn’t buying that stuff their runway lines are there more luxury stuff and those aren’t being bought by the everyday consumer
yuppppppp and I just lived thru seeing people obsess over "starter" level luxury stuff but it's ALWAYS tacky branding and never what the brand actually promotes the brand name is enough to make people put down klarna payments for some ugly tee and it reminds me of how Ricky used to dress in highschool he would just slap together obnoxious brand pieces obviously before he had a sense of style but it was funny 😭
