ok listen - this isn't necessaarily towards just this anon but kpop stans in general bc i see it a lot and wanna speak my truth - and i don't necessarily think wonyoung is gay, i barely know the girl, but i don't think you can use tiktoks on an official group account as proof of her or any idol being straight like that is usually, unless for some reason the company is very lax or so terrible they dgaf to check anything, down to the company and their final decision, it's not all up to the idol themselves 😭 same with, for eg, covers (like look how hao covered santa tell me at the fancon at changed the pronouns to be towards a woman 🤷‍♀️) and other content that's directed towards the fan or even just for the public in general since, i mean, let's just look at the state of south korea when it comes to basic gay rights. the point of idols is that they're majority of the time being marketed towards a straight opposite sex audience, gay ppl are more of a minority audience (which also, with my logic, means idols doing the charli xcx trends doesn't make em gay - they're just doing something for a niche fan audience), none of these ppl can be out etc etc so of course they're gonna be made to do things that are especially for this particular type of ppl. that doesn't have to mean anything about their own personal orientation. again, i don't know shit about wonyoung so she could definitely be straight and this might not apply to her but i don't think something like tiktoks can be used as proof for any idol's orientation. also most gay idols aren't gonna be dating their coworker bc the whole work/life balance thing would be so wack so again, idk why a ship being fake is used as proof of an idol not being gay. just some lil pet peeves of mine about kpop stans and queer discourse, my bad lmao
