hi girlies i’m going on a 10+ hr flight really soon and i have reallly bad flight anxiety and fear of turbulence- the plane could just shake for 2 seconds and i constantly think the plane might just drop and i cannot sleep at all on a plane to block out these thoughts >< plz help a girl out :( anyone got tips on what can i do to get over this?
oh girl if you don't pop 36 mellys and get it on like there's actually nothing that'll help except sedating urself unfortunately
see policy on ur airline, if u have anxiety a lot can help you board early to walk around and talk to ppl on board. other than that making urself intentionally tired helps, try melatonin and essential oils.

Tbh i dont know about early boarding but my friend i flew with has extreme anxiety with planes, and the flights attendants are super attentivee when you tell them, and she got to talk to the pilot and sit in their seat. Which helped cause even i got to see how in control they have and the easy access they have to understand anything that could be a hazard even hours before. Theres a reason why planes get delayed all the time if not crashes would be so much more common. also if you're alone maybe try strike up convo with the person next to you so you feel less alone and tell them about it too
wowww I rlly didn't know the flight crew and stuff helped like that aww that's nice but definitely talk to someone for me take off is the worst so if I'm alone I try to drown in music or talk to people till the planes all the way up. When I was younger I'd hold people's hands but idk if you'd wanna do that
