hi girlies i’m going on a 10+ hr flight really soon and i have reallly bad flight anxiety and fear of turbulence- the plane could just shake for 2 seconds and i constantly think the plane might just drop and i cannot sleep at all on a plane to block out these thoughts >< plz help a girl out :( anyone got tips on what can i do to get over this?

oh girl if you don't pop 36 mellys and get it on like there's actually nothing that'll help except sedating urself unfortunately

i’d say get something u can take, read, listen to, or watch on the plane that doesn't require connection and that you can take in a bag allowed on the plane ofc which you know brings you comfort and peace to distract yourself from those anxious thoughts. also doing some deep breathings while reassuring yourself that it'll be okay and that plane crashes are extremely rare is also another good strategy you can use. informing yourself on it and other topics that make you anxious really helps as well
