As someone who likes Enhypen, yeah Sunoo has more femme mannerisms but the content that he uploads it's super gf stans focused, you won't see him dancing to super lady like taerae was uploading those tikoks every two days. The problem with Taerae is that he's not feeding those gf fans fantasies, while Sunoo does.

He has a very flamboyant personality and is SO obviously queer that there is no plausible deniability so that killed a lot of delusions that his fans had once more of his personality came out, and while he didn’t change since BP, back then he didn’t have as much screentime to showcase himself so voters probably didn’t know about him like that unless they watched the YouTube videos most people didn’t engage with 3. Half of the time they style him it’s the same old boring things or they style him like a kindergartner and that can be off putting to fans or not interesting to new fans so even tho all the styling for all the members is pretty crap he has it the worst (alongside Matthew’s constant shorts or jorts 🤨). And 4. He can be unlikable (let me speak my truth 🗣). I get it because honestly I act like him a lot but he’s very particular and does make comments centering himself in variety (if you genuinely observe when they do variety shows, most of his reactions are him saying “I wouldn’t do that” “I can see that” “that was for me” or give reactions that take away attention from the other members. Can i just point out something thats missed is he still has bad stage presence and dance skills are poor too, i dont blame him but this is a trait of many main vocalists who have smaller fanbases compared to other membrrs. kpop is a visual industry when you watch zb1 stages hes just not gonna catch ur eye. but i think fans should stop caring about fancams when only core fans of the member will care about it

what could have been if he got to build his core fanbase during boys planet but they gave my meow meow zero screentime throughout the entire show it's an actual tragedy 😭 if you really think about it the popularity ranking has always stayed roughly the same since boys planet and if you didn't get any screentime there it's no surprise that your fanbase would be significantly smaller than members who have gotten the highlight since episode 1 all throughout the show 😔

maybe it's just me, i dont think it's a matter of promotion. he definitely had a big fanbase during the show with his "what's your name" and man in love viral moments. the girls were eating him up because he had that church oppa musician boy next door image but after debut they figured out he wasn't really like that and dropped him. even now a lot of his fans that stayed spend most of their time trying to change his image

i thought this too (about hao as well) and then i realised it was their choreographer/dance teachers/dance friends like they were dancing to tinashe, charli, yaeji, beyonce etc etc but if you look at the stuff they're actually into then you realise those songs weren't up to them LMAO like hao listens to every kpop song ever and adele and hanbin listens to nct, korean indie and whatever more generic pop koreans like and while some of it is fine lots of it isn't really my vibe 😭

i was reminded of this thought i had yesterday when watching a kcon group fancam where hao was singing loud af bc taerae said on plus chat that he tried his best singing today but couldn't be heard but when i watch zb1 performances i notice that taerae doesn't seem to sing live which is kinda crazy bc he's one of the main vocals and very skilled? maybe he wants to focus on dancing more since he lacks more in that area or can i just not tell if he's singing live? i remember seeing a discussion similar to this with engenes and apparently heeseung who is their best is the same in that he doesn't sing live that much for some reason which i forgot 😭 i wish i knew why bc it's so wild to me. like obv kpop idols don't sing live all the time but i really appreciate when they do (especially love how hao makes an effort to do it nearly every single time regardless of if they're supposed to lmao) and it's a bit of a shame to me that taerae doesn't seem to do it that often since i can't hear that noticeable difference between him and the backtrack (not necessarily a bad difference but like u can tell it's live) like i do with some of the other members
